Originally built in the 15th century, the church was expanded and restored in the 17th century. It presents itself as a single-nave church in the Latin cross style with a uniform ceiling. The main altar and communion rail are made of polychrome marble, highlighting the artistic importance of the building.

The church houses several altars, including the Altar of the Immaculate Conception and the Altar of Saint Joseph, each with life-size stucco figures. On the side walls, there are chapels dedicated to the Virgin of the Holy Rosary, Saint Biagio, Saint Nicholas, and the Holy Souls, with corresponding paintings. The frescoes inside are by Pietro Ivaldi, known as "Il Muto," an artist from the 19th century.
